نبات عشبي يبلغ ارتفاعه نحو 15- 50 سم، ساقه سريعة النمو كثيرة التفرع ويزهر بعد 6- 8 أسابيع من انباته، وأوراقه متناوبة ريشية ومجزأة إلى أقسام صغيرة متطاولة خيطية. وللنبات رائحة منعشة مميزة 

أعلن د.عبد الرحمن شاهين، المتحدث الرسمى لوزارة الصحة قبل يومين من انتهاء حملة تطعيم طلاب المرحلة الابتدائية بالمصل المضاد للإصابة بفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير والتى بدأت من 3 يناير الحالى وتستمر حتى يوم 13 من نفس الشهر وصول نسبة الأطفال الذين تلقوا التطعيم يتراوح بين 10 إلى 15%‏ فقط، فى حين كان المستهدف من الحملة ‏2.1 مليون طالب فى 6 محافظات‏.‏
